High Cotton Greenville knows how to throw a dinner, and on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 pm, the popular fine dining restaurant will host a five-course prix fixe gourmet dinner paired with the exquisite wines from Mira Winery.
Executive Chef Adrian Carpenter is preparing five delicious courses to celebrate the wine region’s freshest seasonal ingredients. The menu showcases both Chef Carpenter’s culinary talents and the versatility and depth of the Mira wines.
I don’t know about you, but I love to meet the people behind the wine. Mira Winery President Jim “Bear” Dyke, Jr., will be at the dinner to share his wine expertise. A wine enthusiast, horticulturist and entrepreneur, he partnered with acclaimed winemaker Gustavo Gonzalez in 2009 to launch Mira Winery. Mira produces a limited amount of single vineyard wines from well known Napa Valley AVA Districts Stags Leap, Los Carneros and Rutherford. Here’s where my ears perked up: Mira Winery has been conducting innovative research off the coast of Charleston, SC. The phrase “Aquaoir” was coined by the winery to describe the experimental process of aging wine in the ocean. You’re totally thinking of getting tickets now, aren’t you?
The High Cotton wine dinner begins at 6:30pm with a first taste of the wine, passed hors d’oeuvres, and mingling. The cost is $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Seated is limited. For reservations call 864.335.4200.
This is a one of a kind event, so grab your tickets now!
