It’s CSA season in Greenville! Local fruits and veggies are growing in abundance and our local farmers are keeping your pantry and fridge stocked with CSA baskets! CSA means Community Supported Agriculture. By signing up for a CSA you are purchasing a share of vegetables from a regional farmer. Sometimes local purveyors also throw in a product or two. There may be bread, jam or even local honey. The gives people direct access to fresh farm-raised produce and products and provides additional, dependable income for area farmers. Farmers use CSA income to plan for the next season, purchase supplies and make repairs on farm equipment. What a fantastic way to keep your family healthy and support local farms!
