GREENVILLE FOOD EVENTS: OCTOBER 2017 EDITION
- October 26: Greenbrier Farms Annual Campfire Social Charity Event
Featuring Live Music, Multiple Chefs and Breweries! All proceeds benefit Project Host. In the past two years this event has raised more than $11,000 for Project Host! Tickets are $80. Get your tickets via Eventbrite.

- October 5: Oktoberfest 2017 is coming to NOMA Square at the Hyatt.
- October 5: Festival do Brazil at Swamp Rabbit Café
Celebrate Brazilian culture from 6-10pm with food until 9pm including appetizers, 2 Brazilian themed pizzas, and dessert.
Upstate Capoeira will give a Capoeira performance as well as a samba demonstration, and there will be a DJ playing Brazilian themed music as well as dance tunes from 7-10pm. A part of proceeds will be donated to Upstate Capoeira.
Seasons Cafe and Catering is teaming up with Six & Twenty Distillery for an exclusive Fall event to celebrate local creativity in the food and beverage industry in Greenville. Come try creative cocktails featuring local Bourbon, Gin, and Vodka from Six & Twenty Distillery paired with fresh, delicious locally sourced culinary courses from Seasons Cafe and Catering.
- October 13-15: Fall for Greenville is coming.
- October 13: A Taste of Fork & Plough at Shindig Furnishings
Join chef and mid-century modern aficionado Shawn Kelly of Greenville’s newest restaurant Fork & Plough for a fun fall dinner inside the shop that reflects Shawn’s personal love of global food and flavor before the restaurant opens this autumn. Dinner includes two passed hors d’oeuvres with four courses and spooky Friday the 13th wine pairings seated amongst the finest furniture from the best decades in American history. Diners will also enjoy 15% off furniture during the event.
- October 13: Greenville Swamp Rabbits kick of the 2017-2018 season.
- October 14: South Carolina Pumpkin Festival
Spend the day browsing more than 150 arts and craft booths, listening to Country/Bluegrass music, watching (or joining) the cloggers and enjoying the day. There will be a number of food booths with items from hamburgers and BBQ chicken to homemade cakes and ice cream. Bring a chair or blanket and rest among the beauty of fall colors and cool mountain air. Festival runs 8am-5pm with a parade at 9am.
- October 19: City of Greer Food Truck Rollout at City Park 5-8pm
- October 19: Pig Roast at Swamp Rabbit Café
Bethel Trails Farm donated a pig, and they are roasting it to raise funds for the Bethel Trails Farms processing facility. There will be Swamp Kitchen sides, dessert, and live music!
- October 20: Night at the Brewseum at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate (21+ only event)
Explore the science of brewing with Brewery 85, Brew Stooges, Homebrew Club, Carolina Bauernhaus, Quest, and Thomas Creek. Join TCMU and our sponsors, Southwest Airlines, B93.7, Magic 98.9, and Lowe’s Food for a night of adult fun! Enjoy food from Lowe’s food, drinks at a cash bar, and Southern Growl trivia, with the chance to win tickets from Southwest Airlines. - October 22: Fall Festival by Taylors Farmers Market, 2-7pm
This is the finale event of the 2017 Market and Event season of the Taylors Farmers Market including 60 vendors, live music, food, fun and more!
- October 31: Swamp Rabbit Café Little Monster Halloween Bash
On October 31st from 4-6pm celebrate Halloween with your little monsters at Swamp Rabbit Café. They’ll have candy, a costume contest, a photo booth, coloring, and a hay ride!
- October 6-8: North Carolina Seafood Festival in Moorehead City, North Carolina
Blessing of the Fleet, boat show, chef tastings and competition, fishing tournament, road race, and more.
- October 7: CiderFest NC
5th annual CiderFest NC fundraiser, featuring hard cider, mead and apple wine tastings, along with artisanal food, live music, workshops, a kids zone, and more along the scenic French Broad River. Saturday, Oct. 7 1 to 5 p.m. at the Salvage Station, at 468 Riverside Drive, just outside of downtown Asheville, NC.
- October 21: South Carolina Taco Festival
South Carolina’s 1st Annual Taco Festival is taking place at The Historic Columbia Speedway on Saturday October 21st. Enjoy 25+ Taco & Food Vendors, Frozen Margarita Bar, Tequila Sampling Tent, Chili Pepper Eating Contest, Kids Fun Zone, Live Entertainment, Giant Nacho Bar, VIP Party Tent, Free Parking and much more.
