The folks at Grill Marks in Greenville have introduced a new line of drinks just in time for summer and invited me and my blogger pal, Carolina Epicurean, to have a sip. The new Mark’s Ice Melts are meant for laid back enjoyment. (Chugging and chomping not recommended.) The floating ice contains most of the mixed drink fun, so as it melts into the glass of almost-straight liquor, a surprising drink develops. Offerings include the Bruiser Melt with Hendrick’s Gin and a Honey and Sage Cube; The Blood Orange Melt with High West Double Rye Whiskey and an Old Fashioned Cube; a Mojito Melt made with Brugal Rum and a Mojito Cube; and the Lemon Drop with Hangar One Vodka and Meyer Lemon Cube. If your favorite drink combo isn’t on the menu, you can add one of the creative new cubes to your favorite liquor. Drink slowly!
I couldn’t leave without introducing Laura to the ShakeTails at Grill Marks. Their (boozie) adult milkshakes are hard to put down and definitely hard to pass up with one of their big, juicy burgers! We tried the Perky Kilt (how appropriate for the upcoming Greenville Scottish Games) and the Roasted Pina Colada (delish!).
Grill Marks is a great place to pull up at the bar and watch the game, but don’t rule it out for girls’ night! Their fries are some of the best in town and they have gluten free and vegetarian options a-plenty on their menu. And now, with their new cocktails? You’ll have a reason to gather around a table with your friends and gab and sip for a while.
You should have seen OUR table today, covered with eight different Grill Marks beverages (not including our water glasses)! We were getting some questioning looks. If we hadn’t been snapping away with our cameras, someone may have called a rehab facility. We didn’t drink all of it, but sure would have liked to! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday lunch than with a girlfriend and a bunch of booze!
