This is the opening we’ve all been waiting for! Sidewall Pizza, the new Travelers Rest pizza joint located in the old Bryant and Lell tire shop, opens tonight at 5pm. They’ll have limited hours for a while as they settle into the flow of their new business, but you can keep up with them on Facebook. Eventually, they’ll be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. I am so stoked to be able to grab one of their pizzas and a soda for lunch soon.
Some of the pizzas on the menu for opening night are:
Hot Hawaiian: crushed tomato sauce, chopped garlic, mozzarella, fresh jalapeno, prosciutto, bacon, roasted pineapple
Potato: creamy roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, blue cheese, caramelized onions, toasted walnuts, potato, bacon, fresh sage
Tommy: creamy roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, pecorino romano, caramelized onions, mushrooms, spinach, peppadew peppers
Protein: crushed tomato sauce, chopped garlic, mozzarella, pecorino romano, sausage, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon
Roasted Vegetable: creamy roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, blue cheese, roasted shaved Brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash
Don’t forget they have gluten-free pizza! Sidewall has a specialty gluten-free flour blend made in-house, so you can order up any of your favorite house specialties with their gluten-free crust, or you can build your own!
They also have a great menu of salads. The Smoky sounds delicious! It includes spring mix, roasted corn, roasted broccoli, grape tomatoes, red onion, goat cheese, smoky candied walnuts, and our own basil dressing.
The drink menu at Sidewall includes craft sodas (pure cane sugar and no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors) and a nice selection of craft beers and wines.
We’re totally getting take-out from there tonight! No plans for delivery, as of yet, but we can all keep asking, can’t we?!
