High Cotton Belly and Beer Lunch

Greenville’s High Cotton restaurant is hosting a Belly and Beer Summer Social on Saturday, August 16 at noon. Executive Chef Adrian Carpenter will create delicious dishes showcasing the complexity of hidden flavors within paired Quest Brewing Co. beers.

What’s on the menu? For starters, Crispy Popcorn Shrimp with eggplant puree, and spicy green tomato chow chow and Sweet Tea Brined Smoked Trout Mousse with toasted brioche. Followed by Crispy Pork Belly with farro salad, peaches, arugula and spiced pecans with roasted corn vinaigrette. A second course of Venison Meatloaf with home baked focaccia, chanterelle mushroom gravy, tobacco onions and heirloom tomoto jam will be served, followed by Banana Cream Tart with a double hazelnut crust, banana brulee, and warm chocolate ganache for your sweet tooth.

Quest Brewing Co. is a production craft brewery located in Greenville, South Carolina. Founded in 2012, Quest’s mission is to produce unique and innovative beers using locally sourced goods whenever possible. Four Quest beers will be featured at the Belly and Beer Summer Social, including its flagship Golden Fleece BPA. Both Carpenter and Quest Brewing Co. Founder and Brewmaster Don Richardson will be at the event walking guests through each pairing.

When guests arrive at noon on August 16, they will enjoy time to mingle while hors d’oeuvres are passed around and the first beer is served. Three more courses will be served after guests are seated. The cost is $33 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (864) 335-4200.
