Celebrate Octoberfest with Charleston Cooks! Craft Beer and Food Pairings 101 with “The Professor”
Charleston Cooks! welcomes Jon Richards of Greenville Growler Station to its teaching kitchen on Friday, October 17 at 6:30 pm for a Craft Beer and Food Pairings lesson. Unlike your typical college lecture, this demonstration class will feature delicious German dishes prepared by Charleston Cooks! Chefs Mark Pollard (Culinary Director) and Season Stepp (Chef Instructor/Culinary Editor), paired perfectly with hand-crafted brews selected by Richards.
Diners are beginning to appreciate good craft beer pairings. Richards has developed a strong reputation as “The Professor” of beer classes offered at the Greenville Growler Station. During the Charleston Cooks! class, Richards will describe textures, intensity and flavor profiles of beers, and demonstrate how selected brews contrast and complement each dish prepared by Pollard. Hopefully guest will head for the beer isle for their next dinner party.
Charleston Cooks! is located in downtown Greenville at 200 N. Main Street. The cost of the class is $55 per person and includes a generous tasting of all foods and beers and a copy of each recipe prepared. Reservations are required and may be made online or by calling Charleston Cooks! at 864.335.2000.
In this instance, learning will most assuredly be fun. Book now to avoid disappointment. Your taste buds will be grateful.
